Colla leads NMU women past GVSU

NMU WILDCATSThe Northern Michigan University women’s basketball team took care of business against Grand Valley State on Thursday night, as the Wildcats won the game 81-66 over the Lakers.

Wildcats junior guard Alyssa Colla set a new career high with 25 points. NMU freshman guard Bre Gaspervich scored a career high 18 points on 4-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc.

NMU led the Lakers 50-28 at the half. The Wildcats made 15 3-point shots in the game. NMU (10-2, 7-1 GLIAC) is next in action on Saturday, Jan. 18 against Ferris State. Tip-off between the Bulldogs and Wildcats is set for 11 a.m.
