Four arrested in meth lab bust in eastern U.P.

SANE (the Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement team) executed a search warrant early Saturday morning at an address on Ford Drive in Soo Township of Chippewa County.

Information developed from a search warrant on Thursday involving the
manufacturing of methamphetamine at a duplex on Andary Street in the city
of Sault St. Marie led to the search warrant on Ford Drive.

Upon making entry into the home, detectives discovered an active methamphetamine lab. Chemicals, components and equipment for manufacturing meth were seized.
Detectives also seized countless syringes, digital scales and other drug
paraphernalia during the search.

Four suspects found in the home were
arrested and lodged at the Chippewa County Jail. The investigation is
ongoing and further arrests are anticipated.

A 43 year old man from Sault St. Marie was arrested for one count of manufacturing methamphetamine

A 35 year old Soo Township man was arrested for one count of
manufacturing methamphetamine

A 31 year old woman, a Soo resident, was arrested for one count of
delivery of heroin

A 44 year old man from Sault Ste. Marie was arrested for one count manufacturing methamphetamine

SANE was assisted by the Michigan State Police Sault Ste. Marie Post,
Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians Law Enforcement, Soo Township Fire
Department and Sault Ste. Marie City Fire Department.
