WI teenager leads police on car chase

A Wisconsin teenager is in custody after a police chase that led to a crash.

Michigan State Police from the Iron Mountain Post say the unnamed suspect is a 15–year–old boy.

A call came in shortly after 8:30 Central time this morning about a stolen vehicle approaching the Michigan border near Niagara. Wisconsin authorities were pursuing it.

The Iron Mountain Police Department chased the vehicle through Iron Mountain. A State Police vehicle joined the chase and overtook the suspect. Troopers say the suspect rammed the State Police vehicle on US–2 in Breitung Township near Moon Lake Road.

The suspect vehicle left the roadway and overturned. Police took the boy into custody and are seeking several felony charges. Troopers and the boy were treated at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for minor injuries and released.
