Skating rink opens at the Marquette Commons
The cold wintry weather is perfect for creating one natural outdoors opportunity. And that means it is prime ice skating weather in the Upper Peninsula.
The ice skate rink at the Marquette Commons is open for the season. The free skate rink is open noon to 8 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays, weather permitting.
You need to bring your own skates but, the warming house is open for a chance to get out of the cold. You can also skate at other times, but the warming house may not be open and groomed ice is not guaranteed except for during the posted hours.
