Negaunee woman injured in two-car accident
A Negaunee woman is being treated for shoulder and back injuries at Marquette General Hospital after being involved in a two-car accident in Marquette Township this morning.
It happened just before noon in front of the Menards Store on U.S. 41 in Marquette Township. Officials from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office say 69-year-old Judy Ann Young-Campbell of Ishpeming was driving a 2002 Subaru east on U.S. 41 when a 2003 Econo E-250 Van driven by 48-year-old Donna Lynne Nikunen of Munising turned left into the path of the eastbound Subaru, causing the accident.
A passenger in the Subaru injured their back and shoulder in the crash. Marquette General EMS transported 52-year-old Terri Lynn Young of Negaunee to Marquette General Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the van, Donna Nikunen, was cited for failure to yield.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police, members of the Marquette Township Fire Department, and Marquette General Hospital EMS assisted at the scene.
