The number of wolves taken in the U.P. Wolf Hunt has grown to nineteen.

The Michigan DNR’s most recent tally shows a total five wolves killed in Wolf Management Unit A, which covers the majority of Gogebic County.

The rest of Gogebic County along with Baraga, Houghton and Ontonogan Counties make up Wolf Management Unit B, which has seen a total of eleven wolves killed thus far.

Wolf Management Unit C covers parts of Luce and Mackinac Counties. Three wolves have been harvested in those areas.

The U.P. Wolf Hunt will continue through December 31st or until a total of 43 wolves have been harvested.
