Icy roads blamed in Marquette Co. one-vehicle accident
The Marquette County Sheriffs Office says a one vehicle rollover personal injury crash occurred on County Road 492, just east of Morgan Meadows Rd. in Marquette Township Tuesday.
Police say the driver, Trina Roukala, 48, of Ishpeming, was eastbound on CR 492 at approximately 5:15 p.m. when she lost control due to icy conditions, ran off the road, rolled over, then struck a rock bluff.
She was transported to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and later released.
Both airbags in the vehicle deployed. Alcohol was not a factor. No citations were issued.
Assisting at the scene were Marquette Township Fire, the Michigan State Police and Marquette General EMS.
