Name of Marinette County crash victim released
Marinette County, Wisconsin has had the eighth traffic fatality of the year.
Marinette County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy James Hansen says the most recent fatality happened Tuesday morning on CTH-W near Kertesz Lane in Stephenson.
Hansen says the one-vehicle crash happened at 6:56 a.m. when a vehicle operated by a lone male occupant was heading eastbound on CTH-W. The car proceeded to cross the center line, before entering the westbound ditch where it hit a tree.
The victim is 35-year-old Allan R. Chapman of Crivitz.
An investigation into the fatal accident is being conducted by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Department and Marinette County Coroner George Smith.
Assisting at the scene of the accident this morning were the Stephenson Fire Department, Crivitz Rescue and Coroner Smith.
