Single car crash in Marquette Township

A man has been released from the hospital following a single car crash in Marquette Township on Wednesday.

The accident happened just before 4:00 p.m. on U.S. 41 at the Napa Auto Parts Store.

According the the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, 22-year-old Brad Robinson of Shingleton was traveling eastbound in his 2000 Ford Mustang when his vehicle veered off the road. The car traveled across the median and cut across the westbound lanes, just missing oncoming traffic. The Mustang continued on into a ditch before striking a dumpster and sending it about 50 feet.

Robinson was the only person in the vehicle at the time. He was transported to Marquette General Hospital where he was treated for his non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses indicate that it appeared that Robinson may have had a seizure before the crash.

The Marquette Township Fire Department assisted the Sheriff’s Department at the scene.
