Domestic violence suspect pleads no contest

A Houghton County man pled no contest to three charges Wednesday in Houghton County District Court.

Travis Kuopos, 26, has three cases against him.  He pled no contest to a misdemeanor domestic violence charge and stalking.  A charge of malicious destruction of property, between $200 and $1,000 was amended to attempted malicious destruction of property.  Kuopos pled no contest to that charge as well.  A final charge of reckless driving was dismissed.

Kuopos was wanted by the the Houghton Police Department for weeks until he was arrested in September.

Koupos will be sentenced in November.
