Due to the partial government shutdown, Michigan’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for the month of September, and the September data on Michigan payroll jobs, will not be released Wednesday as planned.

The Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) is unable to obtain needed information and data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics required to calculate estimates of employment, unemployment, and payroll jobs.

Michigan’s jobless rate for the month of August was 9.0%.
