Police still looking for Party Store Bandit

Marquette Police are still looking to the public for help identifying the suspect who used a knife to threaten a cashier and make off with an undisclosed amount of money Wednesday evening.  It happened at about 10:45 October 9 at Valle’s Corner Convenience Party Store on 246 W. Hewitt Street.

Police in Marquette are still looking for the masked man who wielded a knife when he robbed a party store Wednesday night.  If you have information that can help police identify the man, contact your local police agency or the Marquette Police Department at 906-228-0400

October 10, 12:01 p.m.

A Marquette convenience store was robbed at knifepoint Wednesday night.

The incident happened around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday at Valle’s Corner Convenience Party Store on 246 W. Hewitt Street.

The Marquette City Police Department says a masked hooded suspect entered the store, brandished a knife, and demanded money from a woman cashier.  The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled northbound from the store on foot.

The suspect is described as a slender white male wearing dark clothes, a make-shift mask, and tennis shoes.

Police believe he is the same suspect who was seen acting suspiciously near the Blue Link Party Store on Third Street before the robbery.

Neighborhoods near the convenience store were searched using a Police K9 Unit.
