Murder suspect deemed ‘incompetent’ to stand trial
A 29 year old Houghton man charged with murder has been ruled incompetent to stand trial.
Timothy Cadeau appeared in Houghton County District Court today by video conference.
He was given an evaluation in the forensics center and was deemed incompetent.
Cadeau will now stay at a forensics center for treatment and be evaluated periodically to see if he could go on trial.
Cadeau was arrested last month after 84–year–old Geraldine Fouts was found dead at her home in the Douglass House Apartments in Houghton.
