Watton armed robbery suspect caught
The second suspect wanted in connection with an August armed robbery in Baraga County has been arrested in Wisconsin.
Michigan State Police say he is 26-year-old Bernard Allen Fish. U.S. Marshals and local police in the Shawano, Wisconsin area arrested him on Wednesday after a traffic stop.
Fish is charged with impersonating a federal agent. He has waived an identity hearing in U.S. District Court in Green Bay. He’s being held in the Brown County, Wisconsin Jail until U.S. Marshals can extradite him back to the U.P. to face local charges.
However, there’s no word on when that might happen. The U.S. Marshals office in Marquette is closed because of the federal government shutdown.
The armed robbery took place on August 1st in Watton. One of the suspects, 21-year-old Donovan Waupoose of Stephenson, was arrested several days after the incident. He has a pretrial conference in Baraga County Circuit Court scheduled for November 1st.
