ORV crashes with two child passengers
One person was injured following an ORV crash in Marquette County.
A 38-year-old man was driving a Yard Sport side-by-side with two children, a four-year-old and six-year-old on Silver Creek Road in Sands Township on Saturday.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Department says the man was making a sharp U-turn on Silver Creek Road and lost control of the ORV, causing the ORV to roll on its side.
The man suffered a broken wrist; the two children were uninjured.
Police say neither the man nor the children were wearing seat belts or helmets.
The crash is still under investigation, and police say charges are pending.
The Chocolay Township Police Department, Marquette General EMS, and the Sands Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
