Huskies to face high flying Cavs
Saturday in Houghton, the Michigan Tech Huskies football team will take on the Walsh Cavaliers for the second time in school history. The Huskies defeated the Cavaliers last year, 30-7.
The Cavaliers are known for their fast paced, up tempo offense. Through two games this season, Walsh has averaged more than 100 plays and 500 yards of offense per game.
The Huskies defense currently leads the GLIAC in both total defense and scoring defense. Tech gave up just 14 points and a stingy 240 yards off offense in a 40-14 win over Tiffin last week.
When the Huskies have the ball, look for running back Charlie Leffingwell to get a majority of the carries. Leffingwell ran for 192 yards and two touchdowns against Tiffin.
Kickoff between Michigan Tech and Walsh is set for 1pm.
