The search for a hunter lost in the wilderness of the Upper Peninsula has ended on a high note. The Iron County Sheriff’s Department located the 78–year–old Muskegon man earlier this evening with help of a Homeland Security helicopter that had been circling the area for an unrelated issue. The man spent the night in the woods on the southern end of Baraga County after becoming disoriented.

First responders were on the scene ready to administer any necessary first aid, but he refused treatment saying instead he was headed to Rudyard in search of more partridges. Needless to say the man is now safe and sound.
