US-2 resurfacing in Iron Mountain starts Wednesday

Dickinson County motorists along US-2 near Iron Mountain can expect construction for the next couple of months.

A project expected to start tomorrow (Wednesday, August 21) is estimated to be completed in early October.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be resurfacing the outside lanes on 1.8 miles of US-2 from Kent Street to north of Traders Mine Road, as well as replacing the curbs, gutters, sidewalk ramps and pavement markings.  Motorists can expect lane closures and traffic shifts during the project.
