When police arrived they located the suspicious package in the laundromat and cleared the building.
A Michigan State Police bomb squad from downstate arrived on scene between 12:30 and 1 a.m. Authorities say that the package was designed and placed to look as though it were an explosive device. The bomb squad x-rayed the package and determined that it was not an explosive device and posed no danger to the public. The scene was cleared by 1:30 a.m.
