GLIAC football teams ranked in poll

GLIAC LogoThe first Division II football poll for the 2013 season has been released and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has three teams inside the Top 25.

In a preseason poll put together by the American Football Coaches Association, Ashland is ranked 9th to begin the season. The Eagles are the defending GLIAC champions.

With 361 votes, Grand Valley State is ranked 14th. Saginaw Valley State slipped inside the Top 25, as the Cardinals are ranked 22nd.

Michigan Tech, Hillsdale, Ohio Dominican, Wayne State, and Ferris State each received votes in the poll, but they are not ranked in the top 25.
