Homeowner fends off intruder

One man is now lodged in Delta County jail after trespassing inside a Ford River Township residence.

Deputies from the Gladstone Post of the Michigan State Police Department were called to the home in question around 5:30 a.m. Sunday morning with reports of a male intruder inside.
