MTU to hold season kickoff events
To get the Michigan Tech University fan base excited about the upcoming year, the Huskies athletic department has two fun evenings planned at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena next week.
On Thursday, Aug. 8, the Huskies will hold a season ticket kickoff event from 6-8pm. Fans will have the opportunity to meet each of Tech’s head coaches and ask them questions about their upcoming seasons.
On Friday, Aug. 9, there will be an open skate at MacInnes from 6-7pm. Then at 7pm, former Tech hockey players will suit up one more time for the alumni game.
Both events are free of charge. Fans will also have the opportunity to check out the new video scoreboard that was installed at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena in June.
