Garage fire in Marquette
No one was injured following a garage fire in Marquette Friday afternoon.
The Marquette City Fire Department says the fire started just after 4 p.m. on 614 Sheridan Street. When firefighters arrived, they found moderate smoke coming from garage eaves. The fire was located at the back of the garage near a work bench.
The fire was controlled and extinguished within ten minutes. Damage was confined to the back of the garage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Marquette General Hospital EMS, Northern Michigan University Public Safety and the Marquette City Police Department assisted at the scene.
