Box welder theft near Hancock
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a box welder from a residence on Quincy Hill, just north of Hancock.
Police say it’s a black Eastwood 175 carry-type welder about the size of a large suitcase.
The welder has hoses attached and has a European plug power cord.
Police say it’s worth about $800.
