Teal Lake Triathalon results

Dozens of people, ranging in age from 14 to 64, competed in the YMCA of Marquette Teal Lake Triathlon Saturday.

The weather was perfect for competitors to take part in the quarter mile swim,  the twenty kilometer bike ride, and the a five kilometer run. The race featured three categories: men’s, women’s and team.

Forty-four-year-old Jeff Juntti won the men’s division with a time of just over an hour. His daughter, 19-year-old Alea, won the women’s race in one hour and sixteen minutes. The Kinsey Vear team finished in just 58 minutes.

The youth triathlon had more than 30 kids competing in a 300-foot swim, a two-mile bike ride and a half-mile run.

Proceeds from the event benefited the YMCA’s Strong Kids Scholarship campaign.
