A Gwinn man will go to trial in December on charges stemming from a fatal accident in Gladstone.
Twenty-four-year-old Harley Durocher is scheduled for trial on December 2nd through the 6th in Delta County Circuit Court. He’s charged with two counts of operating with a suspended license causing death, two counts of reckless driving causing death, and two counts of operating under the influence of a controlled substance causing death.
Durocher is accused of running a red light at the intersection of US-2/US-41 and South Hill Road in Gladstone last March. Gladstone Public Safety says he hit a vehicle driven by 73-year-old Thomas Swift of Escanaba. Swift died at the scene. His wife, 73-year-old Barbara Swift, died several days later from injuries she sustained. A woman driving a third vehicle was also hurt.
