MTU’s Conner signs with Penguins
Former Michigan Tech Huskies hockey player Chris Conner has signed a one-year contract today with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
This will be the second stint with the Penguins for Conner. The 29 year-old Conner has spent time in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings, Dallas Stars, and the Phoenix Coyotes.
Conner played at Michigan Tech from 2002-06, tallying 129 points during his time with the Huskies.
Conner’s new contract with the Penguins is a two-way deal, meaning, he can play in the NHL or in the minor leagues without having to clear through waivers each time.
