NMU’s Gustafsson stays with Flyers
Former Northern Michigan University defenseman Erik Gustafsson has signed a one-year, one million dollar contract with the Philadelphia Flyers.
The 24 year-old forward played in 27 games last season for the Flyers, scoring three goals and five assists.
Gustafsson averaged more than 20 minutes on the ice per game for Philadelphia. The Flyers signed Gustafsson to a three-year, entry level contract back in 2010.
Gustafsson scored his first career NHL goal back in 2012 against the Buffalo Sabres. The former Wildcat played for three seasons at NMU, scoring 93 total points.
