Guts Frisbee recognized in Calumet
Calumet – State Rep. Scott Dianda (D-Calumet) will present a tribute certificate to honor the sport of Guts Frisbee and participants in this year’s Coca-Cola International Frisbee Tournament. Calumet is the host of the 2013 tournament, which has grown from humble beginnings more than 50 years ago to include competitors from around the world.
Both Guts Frisbee and the tournament have their roots in Michigan, and the USA Guts Hall of Fame is located in the Calumet Colosseum Ice Rink. “I’m proud to recognize a sport that has grown up right here in my home town. This is a great thing for the youth.” said Rep. Dianda. “It’s a pleasure to welcome the Guts Frisbee teams to Calumet this year.”
The presentation will take place Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Agassiz Park in Calumet.
