Family fun at carnival in Mqt.

The Elwood Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette will be the site of the 4th annual Family Fun Carnival on Saturday.

The day of fun, food, games and family is sponsored by the Child and Family Services of Marquette.

Kids will have a chance to meet a police K-9 unit , a mini horse named Bubba, and a chance to soak a police officer.

“They love the face painting, the bounce houses are always a hit. We also have a dunk tank and that’s always a big draw for the kids, they always love that,” Fundraising and Communications Coordinator for Child and Family services Shelbi Lisecki said.  “And this year we have Captain Gordon Warchock from the Marquette City Police in the dunk tank. So I think that will be interesting for the kids.”

The carnival costs $5 for families of three, and $10 for families of four or more.

The carnival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
