Beacon House preps for Golf Classic
The 3rd annual upper peninsula Celebrity Golf Classic is only a week away, and the preparation for the star studded event is ramping up.
The Golf Classic is the biggest fundraising event for the Beacon house that they hold each year.
This year 36 celebrities from the music, sports, and entertainment worlds are coming together to help the cause.
“What’s so wonderful about Beacon House is that people from all over the Upper Peninsula and now all over the country are coming together to help people that they are never going to meet,” said Beacon House Director of Development Mary Dowling.
“I think most people have at sometime in their life experienced some kind of a medial crisis and it’s really easy to connect the dots with what that feeling is like, and how you don’t need another worry. You don’t need to worry about where am I going to stay, and how do I stay close to my family,” added Dowling.
The event tees–off on Thursday, June 27th.
Teams will meet up at the Marquette Golf Club, for a day of golf and celebration.
