Ish.-Negaunee Chamber townwide rummage sale
If you’re in need of some new clothes, a kitchen appliance or anything in between, the west end of Marquette County is the place for you this weekend.
The Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first-ever townwide rummage sale.
Residents of Ishpeming, Champion, Republic, Michigamme, Negaunee and surrounding townships will be participating in the sale.
The GINCC has compiled a list of locations, and even items, to help potential shoppers.
“We’ve seen success with it in surrounding communities. But we thought you know the west end doesn’t have something like this, what if we decided to give that a try,” said GINCC communications and marketing director Ashley Geist. “Interest is definitely there. So our goal this year was to have about 30 people, but we have surpased that goal with over 50 people. Now that we know this is something people are really excited about, we’re really excited to see maybe next year how big this can really grow.”
Sales begin at 9 a.m. Saturday and each seller will decide how long their rummage sale will last.
