MARQUETTE – Lake Superior Community Partnership’s Business Development Representative, Derek Bush, is a recipient of the 2013 Emerging Leader Scholarship for the Mackinac Policy Conference, May 29-31, on Mackinac Island.
Hosted by the Detroit Regional Chamber, the conference features national and innovative experts along with nearly 1,500 attendees to work collaboratively to create a competitive and financially attractive state of Michigan.
A limited number of registration scholarships were available to emerging leaders, forward-thinking individuals who demonstrate a future promise in leading business or community initiatives. With the scholarship, Bush will be able to attend the conference and various networking sessions while contributing to the discussion and lending fresh ideas on how to better the state.
“I am very excited to have been awarded the Emerging Leader Scholarship for the 2013 Mackinac Policy Conference,” said Bush. “I look forward to the opportunity to learn from Michigan’s top leaders in business, government and communities and to bring back those ideas and topics to help better Marquette County.”
