The Department of Natural Resources says the highest fire danger is in the central U.P., the moderate fire danger is in the eastern and western regions, with a lower fire danger in the far southeastern sections.

Many U.P. counties are under a Red Flag fire warning from noon until 8 p.m. due to high winds and dry conditions.
