Young Authors Conference

Imaginations will be found far and wide in the central U.P. over the next few days. Thousands of  students from Marquette and Alger County schools will be taking part in the annual Young Authors Conference.

Activities include multiple guest speakers and book sharing amongst the students. The featured guest speaker today was California–based children’s author Kristine O’Connell George. George’s presentation included demonstrations to help students compose their own unique poems and stories.

The conference is designed to show students how fun and enjoyable writing can be. The conference has been held in the Central U.P. for the past 30 years. The Young Authors Conference runs through Thursday.
