Michigan Tech Commencement

The students of Michigan Tech’s class of 2013 are ready for their next adventure. Nearly 1000 graduates received their degrees at this year’s Spring Commencement. For many, these have been the best years of their lives.  There are many schools to choose from, but few offer as many opportunities.

Student Speaker Katherine Price will be working at the Warren Tech Center for General Motors. IBM’s Program Director for Emerging Technologies David Barnes encouraged students to find their passion during his commencement speech.

Barnes said Michigan Tech graduates are highly sought after by businesses. Barnes is the spokesperson for Watson, the computer that walloped opponents on Jeopardy.  But the super computer may have met its match when it comes to Tech grads.
