Robbery in Iron Mountain
At approximately 7:05 pm Monday evening, officers from the Iron Mountain Police Department responded to the Super 8 Motel for a reported Strong Armed Robbery.
An employee of the motel had just exited the building carrying a soft case containing an undetermined amount of cash and checks. The employee was knocked to the ground by a male assailant who then took the case and ran westbound from the motel.
The male subject was described as being 6 feet 4 inches tall, medium build and wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.
The Iron Mountain Police Department was assisted on-scene by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department, Michigan State Police and Kingsford Public Safety Department.
