Celebrate Waterfall Week with craft beer

Marquette County has 77 waterfalls—more than any county in the state of Michigan.

To celebrate, Waterfall Week encourages people to visit the county’s waterfalls, and visit four watering holes to get a free pint glass.

People who snap a photo of themselves in front of any of seven selected waterfalls can take that picture to one of the participating breweries.

With the photo– and the purchase of a pint of a special Waterfall Brew– customers get to keep the logoed glass.

Participating breweries in Marquette include: Blackrocks Brewery, Ore Dock Brewing Company and the Vierling Resstaurant and Marquette Harbor Brewery.  Ishpeming’s Jasper Ridge Brewery is also participating.

This is the first year of Waterfall Week, but the breweries say the goal of the views and brews will encourage people to explore the outdoors.

Waterfall Week continues through April 27.   There is also a geo–caching scavenger hunt, complete with prizes.  To pick up the scavenger hunt form, visit Switchback and 209 S. Front Street in Marquette.
