Zumbathon for Ana
The people of the Copper Country continue to show their support for a little girl recovering from cancer. ABC Ten’s Keweenaw Bureau Reporter Rick Allen has the story.
4–year–old Ana Olsson was first diagnosed with a rare brain tumor in October 2012. She soon began treatment at a medical facility in Texas.
To help with expenses, several women, gathered for a Zumbathon in the Calumet High School gym.
The event was expected to raise anywhere from $2,000 to $4,000. And it’s a little different than their usual Zumba.
Ana’s mother, Cathy, says she is doing very well and though she still is getting checked up every month, and right now, Ana is cancer free.
Which is plenty of reason to dance.
