Snowstorm: driving and cancellations
As the Upper Peninsula digs out of yet another blast of winter…on April 12…schools are closed and some scheduled events are being cancelled.
Roads are snow-covered, with slick ice underneath – making for treacherous travel. Police and snow removal crews across the U.P. say motorists should stay off the roads.
Sage advice is to call ahead if you are planning to attend a scheduled event. Many are being postponed or cancelled. For instance, the winter weather has led to the cancellation of West Branch Township Library Day. The Peter White Public Library will re-schedule and publicize a new date for information about online services.
