Late-winter snowstorm

Old Man Winter just doesn’t want to let go of Upper Michigan.

Much of the western half of the U.P. is under a winter weather advisory.

Ontonagon and Gogebic Counties have an advisory until 8 a.m. Eastern time Saturday, or 7 a.m. Central.

Keweenaw and Houghton Counties have one until 11 a.m. Saturday.

Marquette and Baraga Counties have an advisory in place until 2 p.m. Saturday.

Most of the eastern U.P. has received five to nine inches of snow since Thursday night, with the heaviest snow in Manistique.

After a slow start to the season, much of the region is back to normal snowfall totals.

And we’re probably not done with snowfall for the season, either.

Another weather system could arrive late in the day on Sunday, with a combination of snow and rain.
