NMU students perform for schools across the U.P.

It was a reverse field trip today for a dozen Northern Michigan University theater students.

The group has been performing in U.P. schools this week – as a part of their “Theater for Young Audiences” class.  The group has performed in Escanaba, Gwinn and Sault Ste. Marie.  On Thursday, they performed in Marquette at the North Star Academy.

Younger students get to see the college actors perform “Michigan History Follies”.  “Michigan History Follies” is a musical written by the college students, and teaches Michigan history.  Older students watched a performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
