The cost of cleaning meth labs

It takes plenty of money to fight the drug war.  So far 2013 has already seen a number of Methamphetamine related crimes across the Upper Peninsula.

Marquette County is just one of many places continuing its fight against the drug.  For law enforcement, the fight against meth is a costly one.

Not only does it take many man hours to clear the scene, but up until recently it was a financial burden as well.

A drug court has recently been opened in Marquette County to help serve as a treatment court.  The Circuit Court program educates defendants on drug abuse and addiction.

Matt Wiese, the Marquette County Prosecuting Attorney also said that having the continued support of the public and the governing bodies of the community is important in continuing the battle against meth.
