Health & beauty items donation drive
April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and a women’s clothing store is marking the occasion by helping the Marquette Women’s Center and Harbor House shelter.
maurices, in the Westwood Mall, is holding a health and beauty products donation drive.
Those items are left behind when women have to leave their homes to escape domestic violence.
Shampoo, conditioner, deodorant and makeup are especially welcome.
maurices is calling it the Great Give Community Drive.
Other businesses are helping out by collecting furniture, clothing and other items.
Anyone who donates at maurices will receive a coupon for 20% off a regularly-priced item at the store.
The health and beauty products drive lasts through Sunday, April 14th.
