Retail store aims to help the Women’s Center

A retail store in Marquette is holding a beauty and health products drive to benefit Marquette Women’s Center. The maurices store in the Westwood Mall is looking to get customers and the general public involved in helping out.

“While we participate in a number of maurices-sponsored benefits throughout the year, we are especially proud when we have the opportunity to support causes right here at home,” says Store Manager Diona Dowdy.

Items needed include shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, makeup, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and other personal care and hygiene products.

For each donation, the store will provide a coupon for 20 percent off any one regular-priced maurices item. maurices offers clothing and accessories for women in sizes 1 to 24.

“This drive is just one way we can express how grateful we are to be a part of this community,” says Dowdy. “We invite customers to be part of this effort and look forward to giving them a special deal on an item from maurices in return.”

The beauty and health products drive begins Monday, April 1st, and continues through Sunday, April 14th. Customers can drop off  donations any time during store hours (M-F 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Sat 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., and Sun 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
