Hazardous road conditions
A mix of freezing rain and sleet has created dangerous road conditions across Marquette County this morning.
The hazardous conditions have already caused a number of accidents, including one in front of the Michigan State Police Post in Negaunee Township, which caused traffic delays on U.S. 41.
Use extreme caution when traveling on the icy roads. Allow for plenty of stopping distance between your vehicle and the one in front of you, and give yourself extra time to reach your destination.
The freezing rain is expected to mix with snow this morning, and turn to snow showers later today.
