Gladstone Public Safety Department says 73-year-old Barbara Swift passed away on Sunday at Marquette General Hospital as a result of the injuries she suffered in the accident, which involved a semi truck and two other vehicles.
Swift was the passenger in a vehicle driven by her husband 73-year-old Thomas Swift who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident happened around 8:30 Wednesday night at the intersection of US-2 and 41, M-35, and South Hill Road.
The driver of the third vehicle, 72-year-old Joyce Scheriff of Gladstone, was treated and released from OSF St. Francis Hospital. The semi truck driver, 24-year-old Harley Durocher of Gwinn, was not injured in the crash.
