NMU ‘PigStock’ Party Open to Public

MARQUETTE, Mich.- Northern Michigan University’s Dining Services is throwing a “PigStock” party from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, March 11, in the
Marketplace dining facility on campus. The event will feature foods made
from pigs purchased from a local 4-H club at the Marquette County Fair.

The event is open to the public.

Prices for adults are $6.50 for breakfast, $8.50 for lunch and $9.50 for dinner. Rates for children are $3.75 for
breakfast, $4.75 for lunch and $5.25 for dinner. Menu items include Vera
Cruz burritos and maple bacon donuts for breakfast, Mandarin ribs and
cavatappi with sweet sausage at lunch, and Kogi tacos and crispy Thai pork
pizza at dinner. Vegetarians can enjoy white cheddar grits and vegan
riblets.

Two live bands will entertain diners throughout the day. A prize wheel and
raffle drawings will also be part of the festivities. The Marketplace is
located between the Payne/Halverson and Gant/Spalding residence halls on
NMU’s campus.
