Iron Co. man sentenced today for embezzling

34–year–old Nicholas John Rickman, of Iron County, was sentenced today to five months in jail.

Rickman was arrested in November and originally charged with 8 felonies.  He reached a plea agreement in February and pled guilty to three counts of attempted forgery.

The charges stemmed from an incident in which money was embezzled between March and August of 2012 from the Village of Alpha.  Rickman was an employee of the Village of Alpha at the time of the theft.
