Ontonagon Co. snowmobile accidents
Two women were injured in separate snowmobile accidents on Trail #12 in Ontonagon County over the weekend.
The first accident happened shortly after 5 pm Friday near Silver City.
The Ontonagon County Sherirff’s Department says a Wisconsin woman was treated at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital and was released later that night.
Michigan State Police assisted at the scene.
The second accident took place shortly after 9 pm Saturday near Ontonagon.
Police say an Iowa woman struck trees on her sled.
She was taken to Aspirus Ontonagon and was later airlifted to Aspirus Wausau Hospital for further treatment.
Police say additional information about each incident will be available at a later date.
